Assistant Manager

Scope of Position:

The Assistant Account Manager supports the Account Manager to ensure the smooth operation of a specific account or location in accordance with Curbside policies and procedures. This fast-paced role requires the juggling of multiple duties including those related to operations, staffing, clients and customers. Working with the Account Manager, the Assistant Manager ensures that all account criteria and expectations are consistently met or exceeded. The assistant manager will support the Account Manager through recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, motivating and evaluating their teams. The Assistant Manager must lead by example and do whatever it takes to ensure that customers have an exceptional customer service experience. The Assistant Account Manager reports to the Account Manage.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

General Responsibilities: 

  • Welcome each customer with a smile. Facilitate their access to and use of the establishment by offering information, direction and assistance.
  • Anticipate customer needs such as opening of car doors, assistance with wheelchairs, holding umbrellas, etc.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, including abiding by company uniform policies.
  • Handles cash, valet tickets, keys, and equipment in accordance with company policies
  • Safely performs valet services of parking, retrieving, and delivering customer vehicle for the account establishment
  • Safe operation of customer’s vehicles in accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances and Curbside policies.

Staff Management Responsibilities:

  • Assists manager with the hiring of candidates by interviewing prospects and ensuring all required employee information is accurate and complete.
  • Trains new staff in account specific procedures and company policies
  • Motivates, leads, coaches staff to perform as a team providing exceptional customer service. Serves as a role model.
  • Working with the Account Manger, enforces policies, procedures, rules and regulations. 
  • Communicates with staff on a regular basis. Updates staff on policy changes, new programs, operational changes, etc.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the completion of bi-weekly payroll and reports for corporate office as necessary.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Account manager in the maintenance and ordering of all equipment and uniform needs
  • Handles customer inquiries and complaints. Completes accident/incident reports
  • Solves problems and makes decisions using sound and reasonable judgment.
  • Works with Account Manager to maintain compliance with all account specific procedures.

 

Skills Required:

  • Must be 19 years old or older (for insurance purposes).
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with an official motor vehicle record that meets the recommended criteria outlined by our insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmissions.
  • Able to walk, run or stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous manner in keeping with the Curbside philosophy.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time during all types of weather conditions.
